TRX Suspension Trainer Creates Buzz At Marine South Tradeshow

Marine South Tradeshow Photo 1A different breed of professional athlete, United States Marines know better than anybody the value of staying physically fit. For a Marine stationed in a remote Combat Out-Post (COP) in Afghanistan or Iraq, the ability to maintain their combat readiness can be the difference between life and death. Thousands of Marines have already discovered how the TRX Suspension Trainer solves the age-old problem of how to maintain a physical edge during arduous months deployed in hostile territory, and with their enthusiastic testimony, the buzz around the TRX continued to grow last week at Marine South.

Marine South is an annual exposition which showcases state-of-the-art technology systems and equipment designed specifically for the U.S. Marine Corps. Attending for the third year in a row, Fitness Anywhere’s exhibit quickly became the talk of the show. Drawn in by the enthusiastic crowd, Marines were able to experience first-hand the intensity of a suspension training workout, guided by Ed, Kenny and Alex, members of Fitness Anywhere’s military team. Yet the most telling and impressive endorsements of the TRX came not from the FAI team, but from the Marines themselves. Countless Marines stopped by to relate the success they’d had with the TRX, whether they’d anchored it to an LAV in northern Iraq, in their COP in Afghanistan, or onboard a Navy amphibious ship floating in the Arabian Gulf.

Marine South TradeshowWith the stirring testimony from the field and the obvious benefits of the TRX on full display, hundreds of Marines, and the Navy Corpsmen who fight alongside them, discovered for themselves the value of the TRX and suspension training. It was yet another great week at Camp Lejeune, and the Fitness Anywhere team continues to look forward to helping Marines maintain their combat readiness as they deploy to Afghanistan, Iraq, and other hot-spots around the world.

Couldn't access the comment option off the Marine South post, but individual Marines out there who are using the TRX need to make sure their chain of command is aware of the capabilities of this awesome piece of functional fitness gear.  Headquarters Marine Corps may get the message and start putting more of these FORCE Kits in more units and in the hands of more Marines.  Combat fitness is a high priority and this kit is definitely an important part of that for those who've had the benefit to train with it.
