Make Your Body Your Machine

Super Fast Running Workout

You don't have to hang around a nuclear waste plant hope to transform into a super human speed demon. All it takes is a little effort and you'll be running faster than you ever have before!  Now it won't be the super speed of superman, people will still be able to see you running, but you can crank up your speed and have the personal satisfaction in pushing your own limits beyond.

If you have read the "Strength vs. Endurance" post, you will recognize that adding the hope at the end helps boost your explosiveness when you need those bursts of speed and the regular exercises helps build your endurance as you tear across the terrain.

Now if you do end up breaking the sound barrier, let people know it is because of your TRX workout!

The Run Super Fast Workout

Exercise Reps
Sprinter's Start 10-20 regular, 5-10 with hops each leg
Single Leg Squat 6-8 each leg
Suspended Lunge 10-15 regular, 5-10 with hops each leg
Hamstring Curls 10-15

I think this is a good start for a leg workout, but I feel a little more can be added to this. I do enjoy the hops though, great workout.

This is awesome i use this same circuit alot with my clients for myself personally i have started adding some things in to mix it up.

A) ill wear a 50lb weight vest for my entire TRX workout with pullups and stuff mixed in

B) for suspended lunges my favorite set is

15 suspended lunge

15 lateral squat

15 power lunge

15 single leg burpees

Talk about a ridiculous burn and building strength. This hits every plane except transverse and builds alot of explosive power.

Does TRX help your running?I injured a hamstring whilst preparing for the Sydney marathon. Now i'm no great runner, but i do run regular,so it was mentally painful to not run for nearly 1 year to try repair my hammy. In that 1yr,all i did was TRX,full workouts, but being very careful on my dodgy hammy. To test the leg out,(&also out of frustration),I entered a 1/2marathon,with minimum running training, but regular TRX workouts.Result?I could still feel mild twinges in the hammy, but, I ran my fastest 1/2marathon ever.In some 15 attempts at half-marathoning,I could never break 1hr30min;start using TRX & I run 1hr29 with min. running trg. In my little world,TRX has improved my running, no doubt,& i'm hanging to do a marathon (with a little more running prep!) to see if TRX can help me best in that event too.So a big thanks to FA.
