    Re: TRX Core Challenge

The end to a long Sunday

    Standing Back Extension 25
    Kneeling Rollout 25
    Leg Raise 25
    Suspended Oblique Crunch (R) 20
    Suspended Oblique Crunch (L) 20
Suspended Side Plank with Taps (R) 15
Suspended Side Plank with Taps (L) 15
    Reaching V-Sit 25

    Total Score 170

I ran the last 7.5 on a marathon relay team this morning. I can tell the TRX core A and B has really helped with my running. After that I finished a weekend long list of honey-do's. Now I'm off to eat and watch a movie. Good day.

    Re: TRX Core Challenge

Doug: They are definately better than cheap ropes, they let you go a lot faster, and unlike my cheap rope I was using to start the handles don't eat into the rope. Though if you keep posting you might win one of Buddy's ropes here. Wink

Today I did jumprope to warm up, I'm still too slow, I'm not sure why though.

I did core A but for form rather than speed, I did one or 2 more reps for the exercises than I did last saturday. My hamstrings seem so loose compared to when I started this.

Changed my home set up and raised hand/foot position a few inches--Wow, got a little tougher.

Missed my morning walk so did a jump rope warm up--thanks to those discussing, it's been a while since I used that and I like simple over fancy equipment.

Me too man, 100%. The simple equipment is not only cheaper, but you can always do so much more with it. $30 for a high end jump rope with which you can train in many different styles depending on your goal, Vs. ~$500 for Bodi-Tek BT-HORX Horse Rider Exerciser with which you can only do one thing: Click here to see what it is. For me the jump rope wins every time.

But then again, this is a TRX forum, so not many people here will disagree with us over the love of simplicity.

Not sure if you saw this article. If not and you liked the commercial workout you will enjoy it. Have a great day!

So I've had 2 days off the TRX but with very good reason. I welcomed my new grandson today, Calvin Douglas. Don't know about resistance training yet but the boys lung work well. All the best everyone. Doug

    Re: TRX Core Challenge

    Congratulations Doug.

Today I warmed up using a minibike with my arms. I'm trying to improve my arm speed, incase that will allow me to swing my jump rope faster.

I did Core Workout B for form not time. I did slightly more for each than my score a week ago.

I have been doing this in conjunction with the FTK. In week 7. Beginning to feel the intensity of the lower body exercises pick up.

Thanks for the reference to the article. That's a great way to get some exercise even for the busiest of schedules. Simple but innovative
