    Why I deserve a Gym-in-a-Bag

I have been a fitness professional and personal enthusiast for the past 11 years. I was a sedentary child & teenager, but as a young adult, I learned to appreciate and eventually love the art of fitness. I enjoy working hard to transform my body and improve my personal level of wellness and health; I love the discipline it takes to become my personal best.  I love the art of functional fitness.  I have participated in body building & figure competitions in the past, and it wasn’t until I moved into more functional training that I realized how inhibitive training for those sports was. I have embraced kettlebell & sandbag training since 2005. Unfortunately, my body has run into an incredible obstacle over the past 1.5 years due to a bought with adrenal fatigue and stress-induced exhaustion.  Despite my current physical limitations, I am a still a sponge in this industry.  Although I train slowly and differently now as I battle this syndrome, my , appreciation, and respect developed by the constant challenge of pushing myself to be the best possible “me” I can be have drawn me to the art of suspension training. Overcoming obstacles is not only a part of life, adversity is a part of one’s individual training evolution. Dealing with and (eventually) overcoming physical challenges are part of the process.  “Live. Work hard. Train harder. Never Give Up.”  These are the ways I live (and train) my life.

Please help me continue on my pursuit for improved health and ultimately overcoming my current obstacles by awarding me with a well deserved gym-in-a-bag!

    Re: Why I deserve a Gym-in-a-Bag

I forgot to mention one aspect, so I'm commenting to add (didn't see an option for editing the original post):

As a result of my adrenal fatigue & exhaustion, I gained about 45 pounds over the course of a year. I found myself in a body and frame that I hadn't seen in years, one that was incredibly unfamiliar and uncomfortable. While battling emotional & physical ups & downs, I have successfully lost 25 pounds, and have 20 to go until I reach my normal weight. I strongly believe that more functional training will help me reach my goal, which is where the TRX comes in.

Thank you for letting me share my story. I know that I will reach my goal and will eventually be able to compete in Figure & Bodybuilding again in the future. However, my focus now is getting back to a level of overall health and fitness that makes me feel proud and comfortable.

    Thank you.
