    Biggest Loser

Who Do you all think is going to win?  I ran into Mike while they were doing their marathon a month and  a half ago in Sycamore Canyon.  He was running with Max his brother.  I hope he wins.

I hope either Mike or Tara takes home the check.Mike has come a long way since the beginning of the show but on the other hand Tara has the spirit of a true WARRIOR. So if I have to pick just 1 then I will take Tara.

    Re: Biggest Loser

That was quite a shocker in all honesty that Helen won, eh'?

I thought Mike or Tara would take it all the way! Stick out tongue Especially how self conscious Tara was about herself, and pushing herself beyond the limit everytime.

But any way you look at it, they all now have a seed planted in them, and given a sense of hope and discipline to better theirselves, and that's awesome. Some people have the strength to change on their own, and others need a boost from someone such as on The Biggest Loser. Whatever it takes, getting healthy is worth it 110%. And it is encouraging to me to see people making effort to change.

Like when I go hiking in City Creek Canyon just a bit north of Downtown SLC, I'll see some overweight people jogging up the canyon, and just think that is so awesome. They know they had a problem, and confronted it, and that's what it's all about. :D

jmbrink26 = you are absolutely right.  Adopting a healthy lifestyle and working hard for a goal is totally inspiring and it is good to see.  I'm not so sad that Helen won, she deserved it just as much as anyone did.

Totally. I am happy for Helen also. I was just a little surprised that Helen took home the trophy! Big Smile I think Tara plateau'd though and her muscle to fat ratio increased, and started burning fat slower at that point. But then again it's hard to say. Wink

Ok, I have to say it! Wouldn't it be so freaking awesome if the guy who played the drill sargeant on Full Metal Jacket and hosts shows on the History channel goes on there with the trainers on The Biggest Loser? Come on you maggots! I'm gonna call you pile! Stick out tongue

Ronald Lee Ermey didn't just play a drill instructor on TV. He really was one before he became an actor Smile

He was hired as an advisor on FMJ and they liked him so much they then had him take over the role. He was actually responsible for a lot of his "motivational speeches" in the film in that he either wrote them or could like any Marine DI, came up with dialogue on the spot causing rewrites.
