    Weight Vest

    Hello everyone!

I have recently added a weight vest to my entire TRX workout.  WOW! What a difference!  The balance lunges, pushups, rows, and direct arm exercises are a killer series.  The one I have is adjustable and goes as heavy as 65 pounds.  I have rotated the amount of weight I use in it just to mix it up.  I did add in the power jumps on the leg exercises and it has definitely helped with stability and my landing adaptability.  I mix up the routine every workout so be creative.  I think i saw another post on here that someone wanted to know where to get them.  I got mine at the Arnold Classic Fitness expo at a booth close to the TRX.  The price was amazing and it is pretty good quality.  He also has a website but I am not sure if I am allowed to post web sites on here so I will wait for that.  Anyway, add a weight vest and experience the difference!

     Thanks,

    LovetoLearn

As long as you're not posting websites that go along the lines of spam emails eg: enlargements, free money, etc... then you'll be ok posting websites. I wasn't sure myself at first, but i found that eventually the fitness anywhere staff posted links to the websites I had thought of posting, or had the owner of the website in one of their blogs or DVDs.

I posted regarding where to get a weight vest and no one has responded. Please let me at least know the manufacturer's name of your weight vest and I'm sure I can find it on the web. I've seen weight vests at Dicks Sporting Goods, places like that, but they seem cheap. Thanks, Brian

The name of the website is www.closegrip.com.  You will be all thumbs at first using it, but I promise if you can learn the TRX you can learn this.  It is really a neat thing.

Recently added a weighted vest to my box jumps.

I'm going to incorporate a vest in my TRX routine.

Will let you know how it goes!

    Re: Weight Vest

Just remember to watch your knees when suddenly increasing your "Apparent body weight" with the use of a weighted vest. Obviously, you're an advanced exerciser so you'll likely be fine, but this tip is for those who may want to see quicker results, but haven't yet developed adequate Lower body strength to handle the extra strain.
