Exercises that occur in the transverse plane incorporate rotation around the body (think of a spinning top).
A few examples would be:
1. Upper Body
- Chest Press/Chest Fly
- Power Pull
2. Lower Body
- TRX Cross Over Lunge-similar to the Balance Lunge but instead of moving the leg straight back, the leg moves back and crosses behind the grounded leg
- Suspended Lunge with Medicince Ball woodchop or rotation
3. Core specific:
- TRX High Rotation
- TRX Suspended Oblique Crunch-similar to the Suspended Crunch but you pull both of your knees towards your elbow, alternating from one side to the other
You can view videos of the above exercises on the video library on the website. There are also several DVD's and downloads that address tennis, golf, surfing, multisport and team sports. Good luck!
