    alternative anchoring

I travel, a lot.  I spend lots of time in motels, ugh.  It is difficult at times to find a suitable place to anchor my TRX.  The layout of many motel rooms doesn't allow enough space to even use the door anchor!  I found this to be true in my current location.  The bathroom door that opened into the lavatory would have been suitable if it were not for a mere 4 feet of space in the entry.  The room entry door opened into the room and use of the door anchor made me fear that the door was going to be pulled off the hinges!

I came up with a suitable but not ideal solution, however....an "iron gym" over the doorfacing pull up bar...less than $20 at a major discount store.  There is more than enough space for me (I'm only 5'7") to use my TRX in the bathroom.  The single leg squat is the most unusual...I end up hovering over the toilet.

    Hi Kim,

Way to get creative with the anchoring.  You can use the door anchor on a door that opens towards you, just wedge it into the corner of the door where the hinges are, and its completely safe. Just keep being creative with your locations and you will find places that will work.
