    What Do You Want?

    Ok,  we're working in the TRX lab to come up with a 30 day challenge.  While we definitely have some direction as to where to take this, we want to hear your input.

    What type of exercises, workouts and routines would you like to see in this next 30 day challenge?

    Re: What Do You Want?

    Muscle Ups are sick on the TRX!!!!

    =====================================

    One Legged-Squat burnout!!

    25 on the right,

    25 on the left,

    straight to 45 second sprinters

    I could go on and on.....

    =====================================

    Deep Row to Chest Press Pyramid
    Start with one deep row, then one chest press
    Continue going to see how much you could do (increasing to 2, 3, 4, etc.)

    =====================================

     Modified TRX Pullups

    =====================================

    I guess I love any kind challenge. Have fun putting this one together guys.

    I'm up for anything, as long as I can challenge myself!  Let's see what you can come up with.

    Re: What Do You Want?

     I'd like to see the scorpion (and variations) used within the challange.

    Also, a challenge that increases verticle leap would be cool.

    Thanks!

    30 day challenge... your input.

    Muscle ups and Scorpions... Man you guys are hard core! Of course it wouldn't be a challenge if we made it easy would it :).  I like these suggestions. Keep them coming!

    Re: What Do You Want?

    My favorite challenge is to give all my clients, I named "The Serious Sevens!"  This is a great burnout for the shoulders.  There are 7 different shoulder exercises facing the anchor.  I have them do 7 reps of each continuing from arms overhead and going through them all, with a 27 second rest, then repeat three times!

    1) TRX Deltoid I raise

    2) TRX Deltoid Y

    3) TRX Deltoid T fly

    4) TRX Deltoid W

    5) TRX Deltoid L

    6) TRX Deltoid A (swimmers pull)

    7) TRX Deltoid Split raise (this is 14 times- 7 on each)

    27 second rest and repeat

    Have fun!

    We can't have a hardcore challenge without Suspended Burpees and Sprinters Starts with Power! Wink

    Re: What Do You Want?

    Yes, it needs to be a challenge but there are lots of people at different levels. Would it be possible to do a split challenge with a level that is a little more approachable for those of us coming along but not quite to the macho hardbody stage yet? This time of year is when you start to get a lot of newbies too.

    I've been doing an all compound movement routine due to my current time constraints and lets face it anything that is core dedicated is especially appreciated going in to the over eating holidays! Personal favorites are planks, suspended crunches, and pikes.

    Re: What Do You Want?

    I would like to see a challenge that can be built on. More of a lifestyle change rather than just one exercise i am trying to do.

    Re: What Do You Want?

    Suspended Oblique Crunch Challenge

    2 crunches (side to side)

    10 sec rest

    4 crunches

    10 sec rest

    6 crunches

    10 sec rest

    8 crunches

    10 sec rest

    This continues, increasing by 2 crunches side to side until you can't do anymore........ouch!

    Re: What Do You Want?

     I believe that for this challenge we should get back to the basics.  The movements that inspired us to contiue to use the TRX and the one's we always come back to.  Nothing fancy, why not utilizing ISO-metric holds incoporated into the movement itself?

    Atomich Push-ups

    Squats

    Rows

    Bi's, Tri's

    Leg Curls

    Just a few examples.  I hope this helps but I look forward to the challenge none the less.

    Take care,

    Like the muscle-up modification from single leg squat, good way to progress into the full expression.
