    260 and proud

I weigh around 260lbs. and have not had any problems with the TRX holding up...yet. Is there a weight limit I should be aware of especially as I get stronger and can use more of my body weight?

    Hi Christopher

The TRX is tested to over 1500 lbs so regardless of how strong you get you will not have any problem with equipment failure as long as you are using it properly. it is a good idea to periodically check your TRX for suspension anchor wear due to sawing (it is time to replace the suspension anchor if you have worn through the black sleeve and can see yellow). Another point to consider is that if you leave your TRX hanging up outside it will wear pre-maturely due to sun exposure like any other webbing based product.

Short of these precautions you are good to go. Bang on it as hard as you can. I am looking forward to hearing about your results.

You mean until he reaches 1500 pounds. But then what will he do?

What guidelines should one use in attaching the TRX to a door?  With most doors what would you say the weight limit is?

It depends on which side of the door you are working from. If you are working in the room that the door closes on, position the Door Anchor in the center of the door and you shouldn't have any problems at all as you would have to pull the wall down in order for it to fail :-)

If you are working in the room that the door opens into, the integrity of the door becomes more important. A big fire door you should still be able to work from the middle of it. If you are at all concerned position the door anchor above the hinges and you will be good. Hollow core light weight doors are to be avoided if possible.
