    Dropping Weight and Building Strength

    Is there a technique I can use with the Military Fitness Guide that will allow me to drop weight quickly and build strength faster.  I'm training for an endurance event and I think these are too factors I need to focus on.  Also, check this video out with Brandon Vera training on the TRX and talking about the evolution of his career.

    Let’s keep it simple. To drop weight you want to burn as many calories as possible during your workout. Exercises targeting large muscle groups performed at a moderate to fast tempo and shorter rest periods are going to be an effective burn. The MFG program is perfectly suited for what you are looking for.

    Training for strength and endurance at the same time can present some issues. If it is an endurance event that you are working towards, training time for your event will provide the cardiovascular training. Your TRX training is the perfect supplement for total body muscular strength, power and core conditioning. One of the unique benefits of Suspension Training is the boost it provides for your weight to strength ratio, which is crucial to endurance events such as running, cycling and swimming.

    So bottom line, as your fitness and technique improves continue to challenge yourself on the TRX by working harder, faster – with good form of course.

    The other BIG part of the equation is how you control the amount of calories you are taking in through your nutritional habits!
