    Home Gym circuit

My TRX circuit training. Two friends and I did a great circuit workout yesterday. We had three stations and my Gym Boss. Station one was the TRX, station two was a 1-½ inch 50 foot rope, and station three was for Kettlebell, bodyweight and jumprope. I set the Gym boss for 35 seconds on and 25 seconds off. We did the three stations 9 times for a total of 27 minutes after the warm up. The rope station was for a sine wave either overhand or underhand. The second station consisted of kettlebell swing, sandbag squat, jump rope, foreword Lunge with sand bag on shoulder, jump rope, kettlebell swing, kettlebell Overhead Press, Pushup, kettlebell Swing The TRX station consisted of Crossing Back Lunge, Hanging Row, Chest Press, Deltoid T,Y,I raise, Atomic Push up, Hamstring Curl, Power Pull, Biceps Curl, and Tricep Curl We try to mix it up. Strength, lower body, upper body, push, pull. Some days it is 40 seconds on 20 seconds off. Yesterday we were all glad for the 25 seconds off. Any suggestions

    Re: Home Gym circuit

Sounds like an intense program. Maybe add some more core. The side plank and pendulum series on the TRX are really tough.

    Re: Home Gym circuit

Youve already got a lot going on here but I will talk about some of the progressions that you could explore. For this kind of metabolic circuit try the following:

Crossing Suspended Lunge or Suspended Lunge with a DB or Plate Lift

Suspended Lunge to Single Leg Burpee

Do the Row with a single arm from the deepest position possible. Rep out one arm switch hands and repeat. Go back and forth though this process until your timed set is up

With the Chest Press try pulling a knee to the opposite elbow at the top of the movement. This is especially challenging when you are in the steepest possible position

Use the Atomic Pushup Matrix where you pull both knees to your left elbow, both knees to your right elbow and then bothknees up the middle between each pushup - be sure to pull your tail bone up as high as possible with each knee motion

Try the hamstring curl with a single leg or add the hip press with the hamstring curl in one big movement

On the power pull have a partner push/throw your hand back down toward the ground at the top of each rep

Have some fun with those ones and keep your eyes on the blog for fun circuits to implement in the coming weeks
