    Military fitness program preview

    IIRC, there used to be a small preview of the of Military Fitness program available on this site. It seems to be among the missing now. Is there anything available now that could give me a peek into the program, e.g. exercises, schedule, progression, etc.? Thanks very much for your help. Robert

    I remember the preview didn't show all that much.

    It had two pages of exercises (out of 12 total). One or 2 pages of the TRX program. And one of the running program. So you wouldn't have seen how the program progresses. But you can see video clips for the program here:

    MaxKon, thanks very much for your reply. Yes, the preview was pretty limited in scope, but I was hoping to get some idea of the programs structure and progression before purchase. the videos are useful for the individual exercises, but I was hoping for some sense of the program. thanks again.     I don't know how much detail i can go into but the program is in 6 two week segments. It starts with single sets of all the exercises. Really good for just getting used to the TRX and prefecting your form. As the weeks progress the reps increase, rest decreases, multiple sets. More difficult movements are built in, such as the body saw and suspended pike. The body saw is the used to preload various exercises giving them more power. Power is also built in to leg exercises by actually jumping off the ground, something potentially dangerous with weights and machines but far safer on the TRX. You've also got supersets included which really challenge muscular endurance. By the end you're doing 3 sets, high reps, little or no rest.

    When i first got it i thought 'oh, this doesn't look so hard'. Man was i wrong. With all these added anaerobic elements and endurance challenges i'm often drentched in sweat at the end of a work out. Something i'd never managed at the gym other than on the treadmill. Doing so much with the same equipment allows such quick transitions from exercise to exercise.

    The program is also based on the model of doing the hardest exercises first, and using the fatigue from previous exercises to add difficulty to relatively easy exercises when done alone.

     I hope my description was detailed enough to help, but not so detailed to get me in trouble. Wink

    MaxKon, Thanks for your reply and the information. It helped fill in a few blanks about the program. probably will purchase it soon as I am really desiring to follow a new program for awhile. i have done the Body Express program multiple times. A good workout, but I want something that will unfold over time so I will take a shot on the Military Fitness program. Thanks again for your help. Robert

    Since you've done the Body Express you will probably be able to jump right into the program. I hope you enjoy it.
