Dips!!!! Cant find an angle without rubbing arms

    Dips!!!! Cant find an angle without rubbing arms

    Hey everybody, I have been using this product for a while and really enjoy it. However I LOVE DIPS. Really works shoulders and arms. I have tried a bunch of angles but the straps rub my arms hard and even cut my arm slightly. Any ideas to replicate a DIP?

     Hey Sharky

    The best way to do dips using the TRX is by taking a thumb grip on the handles and resting your heels on the ground. The TRX should be behind your arms and your back. This should allow you to do dips without the strap rubbing against you. To increase the difficulty you can elevate your feet.

    There is another way that you will be able to configure the TRX so that it works similarly to the way rings work with a dual anchor. This serves to separate the straps and make movements like ring dips and muscle ups possible using the TRX while still allowing you to quickly change the configuration back to a single point to do all of the other exercises that are best done in the classic single point anchoring set up.

     Thanks for the help! This thing kicks some serious you know what! I bring it to my apartment gym, which is actually unreal inside (4,000 sqft and lots of equipment). I really like weights for arms so I have combined this system into my arm routine. Essentially I have replaced my back, shoulder, and chest weight routine with TRX!!! Not to mention I dont believe there to be a better core worout that you can feel results with! I have had shoulder issues in the past and with this, there are none and I can still gain muscle and get in shape.

     A few people have tried it, that are in great looking shape. But as anything new they seemed very akward as I was at first. They all love it so hopefully they will be getting one too!
