    DVD's for iphone/ipod

Is there a way to put the DVD programs on my iphone? Would love to have them with me when I work out!

If they are not copy protected you can rip them to an ipod compatible format using a program like handbrake.

I am an avid solo user of the TRX device and always looking for ways to work expert advice into my routine. At this point, I think FA has fallen a little behind the curve by ignoring the audio and video capabilities of the iPhone. Take a look at the populrity of the iPump apps. Something similar built around TRX suspension training would be most welcome by all of us iPhone, Touch and iPod owners.

I used the program Handbrake on my Mac to convert the DVDs. So yes there is a way :) So now when I take my TRX to the park to workout, I can work along with the videos on my iPod.

I love using my iPhone for my workouts. Because you are using the video for your personal use, it should not be in violation of the user agreement to put the video in digital format to use on your iPod or iPhone. (Be smart and honest and don't share the digital file, make people buy their own and that way we can all continue to enjoy the best workout tool on the planet! You would only cheat yourself, keep buying the DVD's and it gives FA a reason to make more, KEEP EM COMING!) That being said I am a Mac user and I use Handbrake as mentioned above and put them in the format best viewed on my iPhone. I can have Force Training or All Body Xpress or my brand new Train Like the Pros (so excited for this one) on my iPhone and in my pocket for a workout anywhere and any day!!! I have them on my iPod and use that for my regular everyday workouts BECAUSE I use the Motorola S9 bluetooth wireless headphones and they have yet to get them working on the iPhone (which BLOWS my mind), but that way I have a "Coach In The Ear" as I work out solo... I'll give the Handbrake method a try. I really liked the Winter workout preview since I could put it on my iPhone. Spencer- Do you find the blue tooth headphones get in the way? I'm intrigued by that idea. Thanks

They have never gotten in the way yet, I did the entire 12 week Force Training with them and LOVED IT! I did need to to it with my laptop for the first few weeks, but once I had it down I just wanted Fraiser talking in my ear to help me keep count and tell me what was coming up next so I could be on autopilot in the brain. (Just had the body ON FIRE!) I love using the wireless, thus why I will put the programs on my regular iPod with itsy bitsy screen ;-)

I am so glad I came across this post! I definitely look forward to seeing further updates on this topic. Perhaps we'll be able to see something in the App Store on iTunes soon?? Thanks FA!

What settings on Handbrake do you use for the video's. I've successfully ripped the video's to my computer but they are not compatible with my iphone. Thanks. jeff

I use the toggle out feature and just do it for the iPhone setting... simple enough and works every time! Spencer

Worked like a charm. Thanks. It probably would have helped if I had read the readme document.

I am hoping that FA is still working on more convenient ways to get DVDs or workouts onto handheld devices. I know this post originally went up 7 months ago...

I typically use Imtoo DVD Ripper to convert to whatever format I want. I usually convert to mov avi or mp4. You can check it out at http://www.imtoo.com. But yes, the federal copyright law has a stipulation you may create a copy for PERSONAL USE. It's when you start to bootleg them that Big Bubba is going to chase you with a double headed battle axe! Stick out tongue

Spencer, good to know we have another community member in the general Salt Lake vacinity! Maybe one of these days I can go on the BST from City Creek Canyon to Bountiful and meet up with you there and do some TRX workouts! Big Smile
