If your having trouble keeping your feet in the stirrups try taking your shoes off and try performing the exercises barefooted.Now for the question of strength workout first or aerobic w/o first.I would definitely do the strength training before you run due to the fact that once you have finished running #1 you really wouldn't feel like strength training and #2 you wouldn't have as much energy to apply to your strength training which wwould make your training session less efficient.
