Trouble with foot straps and run before workout?

    Trouble with foot straps and run before workout?

    I am having trouble keeping my heels in the TRX when performing any exercise consisting of using keeping my heels in the TRX such as Hamstring Curls, Hip Press, Hamstring Bicycle, is there any solution for this ? Also, I wanted to know is it better to run before the strength workouts or after?

     If your having trouble keeping your feet in the stirrups try taking your shoes off and try performing the exercises barefooted.Now for the question of strength workout first or aerobic w/o first.I would definitely do the strength training before you run due to the fact that once you have finished running #1 you really wouldn't feel like strength training and #2 you wouldn't have as much energy to apply to your strength training which wwould make your training session less efficient.

    Here is an indepth video explaining how to do place your heels in the TRX.

     

     

    Keeping even tension and pressure on the TRX while working out is essential to keeping your heels in the foot cradles while working out.

    Just in case you hadn't noticed this-- this is a video for putting your TOES in the cradles and not for putting your heels in it (which is was the part that was causing trouble)

    I had this same problem when I first started using the TRX.  My heels kept slipping out, or my shoe would come off.  I've include the heel video below.  The key is to get your heels in deep enough.  For me, this means putting the strap back by the back of my shoes. Also be sure to have the handle square with your feet.  If it is slightly off, this can cause slipping.  It takes some practice.  Try getting in smoothly and doing a couple hip presses.
