The day before we left for Disney World, I was dared to get a Disney character to perform an exercise on the TRX. I knew it would be difficult and could result in me either going to jail for equipment assault or just unsuccessful. So every time we went to the park, I had the TRX at the bottom of the stroller like a nutcase. We saw a photo opportunity with Mickey and instead of scaring the crap out of Mickey by taking out the entire contraption, because you know Mickey would run, lololol. Anyway, check out the quick picture with Mickey doing a pseudo bicep curl:)

See, I am a very "fly under the radar" kinda girl. Not to mention not very tech savvy. So, I'm not even sure if they'll show up if I post them!! We (me and gojengo from the trx community) thought we'd post what our typical workout looks like these days. We LOVE our trxs and our kettlebells. And we're very much into "fusion workouts". We shot this video last Saturday morning at our local middle school track. Which is where we got the catchy title from . . . middle age moms at the middle school. We just wanted to demonstrate the versatility and "no excuse" mantra of the trx. (I realize I'm preaching to the choir, but in case someone reading this may be thinking of purchasing one). We hung our trxs on the football goal posts and used the grassy area on the inside of the track for our kettlebell work. For those of you following the WOW threads, this was a great trx/kb fusion workout. Equipment needed: trx,kb and a timer. Our timer only times up to 8 rounds. So it ended up being very "tabata-ish". We went for a minute on and 20 s rest. There are 2 parts. 8 exercises in each. All exercises can be regressed if needed. If you're not sure how, just shoot me an email and I can help w/ that. I thought it was a pretty tough workout. We ran through the workout in its entirety, then taped it. When we taped it, we just did a couple of reps of each exercise b/c we were running out of time. Hope you find the workout useful or at least get your laugh for the day, at my expense!!! And we apologize that we don't have the video set to some kind of super motivational music. Like I said, my technical skills are limited!! So, you'll just have to bear w/ gojengo's commentary!!!

Red Frog Beach is located in the Bocas del Toro archipelago in the Caribbean in the north eastern corner of Panama. While I'd planned on surfing a lot, I knew there'd be flat spells here and there and wanted to maintain, if not build on my strength and endurance down there. (Afterall I am a co-founder of a fitness company for surfers, Surf Stronger.) So, I brought my trusty fit ball, and my TRX.

I had an awesome time training on the TRX in Panama!! I found it super convenient -- more so than my fit ball even. It was really easy to grab my TRX, run down the beach a few hundred meters to a little stand of trees that fell over the beach perfectly. I could hook up the TRX in a minutre and get busy with my workouts. Working out barefoot, in the sand (sometimes with water rushing in around my feet!) under the shade of a tree in the Caribbean was incredible! I ususally did a pretty basic progression of upper body and core work and then finished off with a ten minute sand run, and 10 minute ocean swim. Truly "fitness anywhere."

We will be working on some surf-specific TRX workouts in the very near future and I will post to this forum when they are ready.

Stay healthy and see you in the water,

Todd
SURF STRONGER(TM)
http://www.surfstronger.com/

A possible anchoring solution the FAI crew hasn't thought of yet...?!

I brought a TRX with me on my trip to Florida over the holidays. Although my husband Mike has posted some videos here of us using the the TRX this is my first post on this forum.

I was inspired by Brian's medicine ball / trx video so I decided to play around with two things I love: Pole (Dancing) and the TRX. Here is a short compilation video.
