Unfortunately, I bought the unit around July 10, 2010, so it's prob too late to dispute. Though the original e-bay seller is stil on ebay as a top seller.

If I did not see the thread on the Fake vs. Real, I'd never suspect I had a fake one. But this leads me to the question - I've done several workouts now where I thought the beam in my garage will crack before the unit. All of the components appear very strong and I never had any slippage.

I understand that technically, there is always a risk of something failing, even on a real unit. So, what steps can one take to make sure they have a unit more likely to hold their weight than not? If I suddenly pull the units in all directions before the workout, will that do the trick?

I own the TRX system that comes with the force training guide, which I completed 11 weeks of shortly after purchasing the system in May 07. I found this program extremely challenging, and also very time consuming when trying to fit it around full time work. Following this, I designed myself a program of around half the exercises found in the two days training programs, which looks like this: Suspended Lunge, Single Leg Squat, Hamstring Curls, Suspended Pushup with Crunch, Single Leg Chest Press, Back Row, Single Arm Power Pull, Swimmer's Pull, Y Deltoid Raise, High Bicep Curl, Tricep Press, High Rotation, Suspended Pendulum and Suspended Oblique Crunch. I am currently doing this program 3 mornings a week, with 10 reps of each exercise and one circuit of the exercises with no breaks.

While I still find this workout challenging, I am thinking about purchasing another TRX program so perhaps I can alternate between them every 3-6 months for variety. Due to time constraints, I only have around 30 mins to work out, so things like the force training guide and perhaps train like the pros aren't really feasible at the moment. I am interested in the Core Strength Vol 1 program, although having watched the videos from it posted in Feb on this site, I am concerned that it does not contain many exercises that are not already covered in my force training guide. I have been told that the all body xpress workout wouldn't be much of a challenge for me given the work I've done so far, but I have recently had two months off TRX due to a fall during a workout in mid November that resulted in a lower back injury, and have only been back into working out for around 6 weeks.

I'm hoping someone can give me some advice on which program/s I should consider purchasing, or perhaps some ideas of another program I could design using exercises from the force training guide. Thanks for reading.

Daniel.

I showed a friend and he told me I would be crazy to spend that much money on something I could just as easily make with supplies from the hardware store (nylon straps, clips, and handles). I tried my best to back the product up but I wanted to hear from users about what makes this product so special. Can it be duplicated with things bought at the store? Thanks in advance for any input!

New DVD: Training the Trainer Volume 2?

Ok I was wondering when you will have a new DVD For Personal trainers. I watched the first one and was impressed with the information provided. But I am looking for some thing that has alot more indepth information. What I mean by that is one execises and all the variations, also how the muscles are being activated. I guess the best way to describe what I am looking for is a program that is tailored for the Personal trainer. I was also wondering when the STCS and GSTCS are going to be come acutal certifications. I am asking this because by the end of the year I will have my NSCA Certification, and I want as much reference material for the TRX so that when I am training my future clients and they have question that I am unsure about the answer I have a means to find the answer they are looking for.

Referral Program?

The TRX is amazing. It is from putting our boots in the foot cradles and doing the twisting exercises. I think that wearing shoes instead of boots would help but that would involve changing clothes. I have the TRX set up out in the Motor-T bay and we are able to squeeze in some training in the afternoons. Having to change clothes would eat up some out our workout time as well as give me an excuse not to workout. Does anyone have any tips to keep from ripping these things up? If not, is there any way to replace the padding? I don't really want to tape them up as that would defeat some of the grip. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
