nycrehab: a shorter version of a trx for cramped spaces...With the door anchor in a door in my nyc apartment Im bumping into stuff ...a shorter version or one with a small anchor arm would be appreciated
To get around the length issue for now, you can try "over" shortening your straps. Once you've adjusted the straps to the fully shortened position, continue to shorten them, allowing the top strap to form a loop, if you will. Doing this allows you to bring the buckle up as far as you want to the point where the anchor and straps connect, effectively shortening the system to around 24" or so. A lot of us do this in order to use the straps for pullups- which can still be done with a single overhead achor point, incidentally, it just adds a bit more of a challenge as you have to actively work to avoid rotating...great challenge for the core.
