Where to start - Is a STC course appropriate as an end-user?

Hook - Saw the TRX on Biggest Loser & recent copy of Men's Health

Line - Bought the TRX and some videos

Sinker - Got an e-mail announcing a STC course in a city close by.

So I pose the question, would it be advantageous to enroll in the STC course?  I see that it takes a day (6+ hrs) but wondering what occurs in the course?  I'm not a 'trainer' but a chubby computer nerd who know he needs to drop that 'freshman 15' that is much more than just 15.

I take the group X courses (pump and step) at my 'big name' gym.  But not the type to live there - Would rather play outside and seeing the TRX that really tweaked my interest.

Is STC more tailored to the professional trainer who has the 'alphabet-soup' arrangement of letters after their name.  Or for me, a nerd, with the goal of losing weight before that High School reunion rolls around again?

    Thanks,

    Hi John

My wife and I participated in a STC last year. Prior to sending in our money I asked exactly that question: who is the course geared for? The answer I got, and it was accurate, is that it can have the full spectrum of people in attendance. Yes there will likely be personal trainers there but it is almost certain to have men and women just like you. If you want to get some hands on training with someone with lots of TRX experience I would say go for it. You'll for sure learn a lot and quite likely have a fun time doing it.
