Fitness Challenge from April 25, 2009

This past Saturday, myself and another fitness professional hosted and sponsored a Fitness Challenge fundraiser for Autism Research.  I put together a very challenging 10 station circuit which included 3 TRX exercises.

     Below is the challenge.

This event was for charity, but the competive juices started flowing and the participants really pushed themselves to win!

I posted a score of 4 minutes and 19 seconds another guy came in a second later at 4 minutes and 20 seconds.

The best score for all of the lady particpants was 4 minutes and 53 seconds.

Its really tough, my heart was pounding and my legs were burning, but it was a lot of fun.

    Please share your score.

    Thanks,
Efrain, E Class Personal Fitness, "Do something you love everyday"

I've been doing the military strength training program since I retired in November and love it. The challenge with the suspended burpee became one of speed. As a 61 year old, I thought I've be able to gain speed as well as strength, but this has proved elusive. I can do 16 or 17 per leg, but barely accomplish 13 in 30 seconds.

Okay, 49 year old male. I got up to 14L/14R versus 10L/10R at the beginning of the month. With just 30 seconds, speed is key. I could use more fast twitch muscle fibers. I loved the challenge and hope you come up with more of these.

We couldn't let this go by without playing.

Here is Rebecca banging off 17...

    and me doing 18...

Note that I was a little oxygen deprived near the end and decided to just dive onto the floor on rep 17 rather than put my foot down:)

Oh, and we would both be in the low 40-49 age group!
