STC Course Burnsville, MN May 16

To all the Burnsville STC Participants,

It was great having you all in the class on Saturday. Please stay connected with each other and share your training ideas and successes here in this community. I learned a lot from each of you and your individual backgrounds and expertise. I also learned that I will not be doing that crazy Suspended Lunge to Atomic Push-up combination for a while. I'm really sore!

Take care and best wishes for great success!

    Aimee

    Aimee,

I really apreciated your genuine knowledge for the TRX and training in general. It was fun workig with you. One thing that I was absolutely astounded by was your incredible ability to remember 20+ names on the spot and use them through out the entire day. Remembering names is a weakness of mine, I admire that.

     Stay ripped,

    Brandon Walton

    Brandon,

Thanks for the comment about the name thing. I've found it's really important to form quick relationships with the participants in the STC and remembering the names helps me feel connected to everyone. We have to get friendly quick because we're together for a LONG day.

Nice job at the class. I'm actually headed outside now to do a TRX workout. I'm going to work on some more combination exercises. Got any ideas??

Yeah! I worked out on it yesterday. I found the bicep curl right into a 45 degree row works nicely alternating at a 1:1 ratio. Also I'm a big fan of the jump rope so I incorperated that also with sigle leg squat jumps (each leg for 45 sec) then imediatly followed by 2 min of double jumps. Complete 6 rounds.

I don't know if you jump rope at all but, it helps me with the cardio aspect.... big time.

Do you have any origonal B.A moves that you keep for yourself?

    Brandon,

All of my B.A. moves are for public consumption! Mostly I try to link a few TRX exercises together for a 60-90 second burst. So none of the moves are really original, just creatively linked together. I'll try to think of some of the best series and send them to you.

I didn't have a jump rope at home today so I did 2 minute cycling drills on my spinning bike followed by 90 second TRX exercise combinations. I'll be totally honest and say that by the end, the cycling drills were weak...I'll try your single leg squata jumps and 2 min double jump rope on Thursday. I don't think I'm going to enjoy that! ;)

    Hello Aimee and all,

Thank you so much for letting me "help out" for the first two hours!  It was great meeting you all and I do hope you all enjoyed your day with the TRX.  I am proud to say that I later accomplished 4 hours of solid dancing at the wedding!

    Sincerely,

    Shana Martin
