    OMG!

I just did my very first TRX workout Surprise

I did the all body express as I figured it was a good first workout.  I found the most difficult ones to be the ones done on the back. Next time I will try being closer to my door (was using a door anchor). Since it was my first workout I found I would have to pause the DVD to change the straps and get in position. Some of the movements look so easy but man, they so are not! I am going to get hooked I know it!

How many workouts does it generally take before you stop feeling like newbie? LOL Big Smile

Attack this like the wild, crazy yet highly intelligent woman you are.

    Re: OMG!

For me it was a couple of weeks. You have to just get used to being suspended, and your core muscles need to strengthen.

    Re: OMG!

Yeah the All Body XPress is quite a challenge at first. Start off slow doing the 30 second intervals as it suggests, and gradually work up to 1 minute intervals.

As of 2 or 3 weeks ago, I worked up to 1 minute intervals myself with the All Body XPress.

I think Max is pretty close on the money there, about 2 weeks to a month. I'd say its really going to take a month for your muscles to really adapt to being challenged again.

If you do the All Body XPress workout 2 or maybe 3 times a week, and stick to it, you'll start to feel results in a month and start seeing results after a couple months. It's been 4 months now that I've been working out with the TRX, and between the All Body XPress, the Metabolic Circuits, and some hiking here and there for cardio, my arms have good muscle mass now, and continue to grow, my legs are much stronger than they used to be, and my abs are quite built up now. I'm pretty sure I have a 4 pack or 6 pack going on, but got a little bit of belly fat that just doesn't want to budge! Stick out tongue

I started jumproping though, so I think that will give me the extra edge I need to burn through it.

But yeah, expect muscle soreness and minor pain (if you have major pain more than a day or two in your muscles, I'd go have it checked out). Stick to it, and you'll get there! Big Smile

Yeah, for me it was building up the core muscles and the quads! Post an update and let us know how you are making out with it now, ok?
