    TRX for Martial Arts

     Hello All,

I am new to the TRX and at the time of my purchase I received the following DVDs:All Body Xpress, Strength, and Flexibility. I would like to know in which order should I use the DVDs in order to get the best results. Or should I use the DVDs on different days to maximize my weekly workout. I plan on working out at least 5 days a week for 40 to 60 minutes per day. In time I plan on ordering the other DVDs but currently I would like to use what is available to me at the moment. Can someone please lend me some assistance.

    Re: TRX for Martial Arts

    Hi,

Welcome to the community! Big Smile

I don't have the Essentials: Strength DVD, but I do have the other 2.

Now, do you already train in Martial Arts, or are you planning on learning a discipline?

Furthermore, what discipline(s) are you going to focus in?

I think that would really give us the best idea of what kind of routine would really maximize your results.

For me, speaking in general terms, I do the All Body XPress workout twice a week, I do metabolic circuits twice a week, and do the stretches on the Flexibility DVD everyday. Doing that for the last 3 months I've got my body fairly ripped.

But I think the best thing would be to get exactly what you are doing, and what you want to accomplish. That would really help in giving you the best information.

    Thanks,

    Justin

    Re: TRX for Martial Arts

     Hello Justin,

I appreciate the timely response. In answer to your questions I was training in Aikijitsu for about a year then I took off about a year in which I did not practice or work out on a consistent basis. Shortly I will begin taking Kajukenbo which is a combination of stand up and ground from various arts. Now I am not training for the ring but I want to be in ring shape. I am looking to regain my flexibility, build total body strentgh and tone up using only body weight while increasing my cardio. At the moment I will not be using any free weights or weight like systems. I'm not too far out of shape but nowhere near where I was. I stand at 5'9" and weight about 185lbs. Utilizing the following DVDs: All Body Xpress, Strength, and Flexibility I would like to try and accomplish the fore mentioned goals before purchasing the other DVDs. Using the information that I provided do you have any workout recommendations that I can use to reach these goals.  Any input you can provide will be greatly appreciated. On a side not do you know where I can get the workout guides for the strength and flexibility DVDs? The guides didn't come with my DVDs.

    Thanks

    DJ
