    Re: 365-Day Fitness Challenge

Once after rowing a little to hard at the gym i walked over to the trainer and passed out landing on him. He was a little guy, so other staff had to help lay me down. But as soon as they lay me down i came to and jumped up asking 'what's going on?'.

Bad thing those Rowers when you're not used to them. Big Smile

As someone with a rower, I'd like to see what you would come up with mixing the trx with a c2. Personally I'd rather row the whole time, but a supplementary workout for conditioning for rowing. On a side note, I've just got back and am starting to do c2's holiday challenge. I've got all month to pull off 100 or 200k.

I only plot world domination because the cat in my lap tells me to.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

We've done a few things that are rowing based. Keep your eyes on the site for releases of it.

    Re: 365-Day Fitness Challenge

I just got the TRX a few days ago and am now watching the videos and working out to get a routine down.  I love it - in just a few days I can feel it working and targeting my problem areas.  I am a runner and pretty much just did that, no strength training, etc.  The cardio is great, but my legs were the only area that really had strength.  My goals for the next 365:  1.  Reduce overall body fat and build muscle.  2.  Increase core strength and finally get those washboard abs – this will help tremendously with speed in running and injury prevention.  3.  Work to achieve and maintain overall upper body strength.  4.  Most importantly stick to a strength-training workout year round.  I often would go to the gym, workout on weight machines, become sore, and slack off in that area.

Good luck to everyone in reaching your 365 goals!

    Re: 365-Day Fitness Challenge

I plan to achieve my goals by first and foremost sticking to the workouts.  I am going to chart my workouts daily as well as how I feel overall as that will help me to see what is working and what is not.  I am starting out with the DVD workout that came with the TRX and will also visit the site for new workout techniques that target specific areas like abs, triceps, etc.  I will also be more creative and make up some of my own workouts as time goes by!

    Any advice is certainly appreciated!

Where are you logging your workouts?
Be careful not to overtrain. If you want to do something everyday you should get the flexibilty DVD, good for rest days from your normal workout.

    Re: 365-Day Fitness Challenge

For now am logging my workout in an excel spreadsheet.  Is there an online pice with our profile that we can log?

I will look into the flexibility DVD - sounds perfect for off days.

Not on this website, but I have seen some others like http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/ which allow logging. Though you can always have a thread here to post what you're doing.

It could also help with your running, since the better the posture, the more efficient the run.
