  • Re: What Do You Want?

Yes, it needs to be a challenge but there are lots of people at different levels. Would it be possible to do a split challenge with a level that is a little more approachable for those of us coming along but not quite to the macho hardbody stage yet? This time of year is when you start to get a lot of newbies too. I've been doing an all ...

  • Re: MMA (Middle-age Mom Anaerobic) Workout

Janice, I was thinking of you tonight when I did one arm presses on the TRX, I was only using @60% of my weight but trying to work against the single point was wild! I got 15 out but my arms are still shaking. I need to build up the strength in my right (dominant) arm oddly enough. I don't have much grip strength due to breaking that ...

  • Looking for another Noob to be a buddy!

So my Force kit should be here today or tomorrow, Hallelulah! but I want to do everything I can to make sure it "sticks" so I'd like to find another TRX noobie to be accountable to. I'd post my workouts to you and you'd post yours to me. Don't freak, I got the Force kit because I wanted something to work towards. I ...

  • Re: Suggestion: Exercise Cards

Tony you're an angel! and that must have taken forever to do!!!!This isn't about exercise cards but something I've learned working in science is that if you are trying to get results you need to record data. So you need a way to measure the data that you can record. One of the advantages of the TRX is that it is infinitely ...

Ooooh, Yes Please! Pretty Please!!!!! The TRX is so portable the DVDs less so. I'd love to throw a couple of cards into the bag, pack up and take it all on vacation with me.

  • Re: Cardio Variation - Hill Training

I've been doing a variation on that on my Incline trainer but I am not up to running during it yet. I do 2 mins at 3.3 mph at 8% incline and on the 3rd minute I ramp up the incline to 20/24/28/32% for 1 minute obviously I do 4 "sets" of the 3 minutes I'll admit I am not in great shape but by the time I hit 32% my legs ...

  • Re: Force Program for the Air Force

Having survived AF boot camp (though it was sooooo long ago!) I think TRX training is more than enough. AF basic is more about intellectual discipline than physical. Yes, he will do pushups, run, do the obstacle course, etc. but it really is about training the mind to think first before reacting, sounds stupid but you would be amazed how little ...
