Preparing a Holiday Gift Guide

We’ve all been there…trying to figure out what gift to give to that one person that is just hard to shop for. Well, make it easy for your network by creating a holiday gift guide!

You can add one to your website or create an email. Presenting the products by recipient, interest and price is a great way to show your network what you recommend and make it easy for them to decide what will make the best gift.

This brings up a very good point. The TRX Suspension Trainer is probably the finest product that I sell, but I don't spend a lot of time trying to sell it because of the one time cookie.

Honestly, I could drive tons of traffic to the TRX site if I had an extended cookie.

All the other affiliate programs that I'm associated with for various products related to triathlon offer at least a 60 day cookie. Affiliates work hard to make a sale and should be rewarded for this.

For those new to the affiliate business, here is a good explanation:

A cookie refers to a small piece of code that is placed in a visitor's web browser from your affiliate marketing software. It stores information about the visitor for tracking purposes or for customizing the web experience. In the case of affiliate programs, a cookie is responsible for determining whether or not an affiliate will be credited with a referral upon the visitor's return to a website after their initial visit, and how long after their initial visit they will be credited. Cookie duration generally ranges from 1-365 days. There are arguments both for shorter cookie durations and longer cookie durations. Through experience, however, the arguments for a longer cookie duration seem to outweigh those for a shorter duration. Some merchants choose a shorter cookie duration because they view an affiliate program as a means to obtain dirt-cheap traffic, and traffic is especially cheap if the affiliate does not get credited when there is a sale. However, one must understand that reliable, quality affiliates are well aware of this, so merchants who have shorter cookie durations generally cannot maintain a base of experienced super affiliates. To keep affiliates happy, and to recruit affiliates who will produce reliable results, one must look at their affiliate program as a way to maintain win-win partnerships, and not as a way of taking advantage of novice webmasters. For this reason, it is highly recommended that merchants set their affiliate marketing software cookie to 365 days or longer to attract more experienced affiliates who can produce results. Remember that without the affiliate that traffic does not exist, so it is vital to do everything in one's power to maintain a somewhat egalitarian relationship with the affiliate.

Kudos for the new and improved TRX affiliate program. The new videos, images and banners are great.

I would like to suggest a win- win proposition that will make the TRX affiliate program even better. How about an extended cookie like other top affiliate programs use that will allow affiliates to get credit for a sale for an extended period such as 45-180 days?

This would make affiliates hungrier and more willing to spend time and money promoting TRX products.

Fitness anywhere and affiliates would both win with increased affiliate sales.

Other top affiliate programs are doing this.

Q: Can I use my affiliate code to get credit for a self- purchase?

A: No. As stated in our terms and conditions, personal orders placed using your Fitness Anywhere Affiliate link will not be credited to your account. The Fitness Anywhere Affiliate program is not intended for personal use by the programs participants. Orders will be verified. Any personal transactions will be removed from payout eligibility.

Q: How do you track my sales?

We use either your affiliate code or weblink to track all activity. If someone uses your affiliate code during check out, our system captures that data and you are credited. The same is true for your weblink. If someone clicks on your personal weblink code, all activity is tracked back to you. There are no additional steps. We handle all transactions.

Q: How long will I still get credit for a sale after a person clicks on my affiliate link?

We offer a 45-day affiliate cookie. So up to 45 days after a person clicks on your affiliate link, you will still get credit for the sale. However, please be aware that if a referral clears the private data in their web browser, your cookie will potentially be removed.

Q: What is my password?

If you lost your password, you can enter your login and have your password emailed to you. Go to the Fitness Anywhere login page.

Q: As a TRX Affiliate, when do I get paid?

Affiliate store credit will be available on a quarterly basis and will be provided in the form of a gift certificate. This code will be distributed via email. To be eligible for both store credit and commission payouts, affiliates must first obtain a $20 minimum balance. Commissions are also paid out on a quarterly basis.

Q: What’s the payout schedule?

Quarterly payouts will be processed at the end of each quarter and distributed on by the following dates:
January 15
April 15
July 15
October 15

Q: Can I change my option from store credit to cash commission (or vice versa)?

We can make this change after the end of a quarter; once the payouts have been processed. Please contact us after receiving your quarter end payout by submitting an email request to: affiliate@fitnessanywhere.com

Q: How can I redeem my store credit commission?

A: Easy. All store credit commissions are paid in the form of an online gift certificate. Just select the products that you want to purchase and add to your shopping cart. When you get to checkout, you will want to enter your gift certificate code appropriate box (marked Gift Certificate) and click redeem. And remember that the code is case sensitive!

Can’t find your store credit commission code? Send a request to resend to affiliate@fitnessanywhere.com with your login information and payout date (ex. 1st quarter, 2008).

Q: What happens if clients return their products after using my affiliate code? Do I return my commission money?

Once you receive a commission check, it's yours. We wait for the 30 day return period to expire before paying commission on each sale from the affiliate program. If a customer returns the product before we pay your commission, we simple deduct your commission before it is paid.

Q: Can you add my affiliate code to an order after it has been processed?

Our systems do not allow us to retroactively apply the affiliate code to processed orders. If you have someone who wants to use your affiliate code, please make sure they have the correct information during their check out. As a backup procedure, we provide an “affiliate look-up” button during the check out process. This is a search option to track down one’s affiliate code.

Q: How can I post my affiliate web banner/link to my Facebook or MySpace page?

Add to your profile
By adding to your profile, this will remain on your myspace page until you remove or update

Login to your affiliate account
Select any web banner that you want to use
Login to your myspace account
Click on edit profile
In your "about me" or "interests" section, copy and paste the html code for selected web banner
Add a small personal review or something that will draw attention to the web banner
Click on preview to see what your profile will look like
If everything looks great, click on Save All Changes

Post a Bulletin
By posting a bulletin, all of your friends will see this on their own pages, however, it will only remain visible for a limited time depending on how many other bulletins are posted within a friend's network.

Select any web banner that you want to use
Login to your myspace account
Click on post bulletin
Select a subject line that will grab the attention of your friends
Write a personal review or interesting story
Below any text, copy and paste the html code for the selected web banner (Optional)
Click on Allow Bulletin Comments if you want to start a conversation with your friends about the TRX
Click on post

Facebook
Write on your Wall
By posting on your own wall, all of your friends will see what you write. You can also write on a friend's wall and their entire network will see your post.

Login to your facebook account
Scroll down to your "wall"
Write a small review or an attention grabbing blurb
Copy and paste your affiliate weblink below your review/blurb

Fitness Anywhere has a Affiliate program where you can refer family, friends, collegues and more and receive 15% in cash or 25% in product commision for every referred sale. You We use wither your affiliate code or weblink to track all of your sales. There are not additional steps. We handle all transactions. Payouts will be processed at the end of each quarter. The TRX is amazing. I was telling everyone about it so often that I was wondering if there is any sort of a referral program? Maybe get a discount for all my friends who buy?
