  • Re: stupid newbe question

Henry, I'm no doctor...nor am I a fitness expert.... First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on having the will power to get off the sweets and already change your lifestyle (all the walking) in or order to have dropped 80lbs !! That is almost 20% of your bodyweight. That tells me that you are capable of sticking...

  • Re: Anchoring a TRX off a Perfect Pull-up bar?

Hey PlumFlower, Firstly, I totally agree with JK that you should keep your mind open to outdoor training. The portability of the TRX is one of the best features of the TRX. It is a go anywhere instant gym. See my other posts about using the TRX during the deadtime after I drop my kids off for hockey...

  • I'm gonna throw up!

Was working out with the TRX for the second time this morning using the strength DVD. Halfway through the exercise, I started feeling nauseous. Muscle wise, I felt like I could get through the workout, but the nausea really held me back. I had to take longer breaks, and when I paused I felt like I needed...

  • Will the TRX get us in shape?

We just received our TRX in the mail last week, and my husband and I have started working out. A little background information on us is that we both have about 40 lbs we need to lose, and we don't have a lot of muscle. We're pretty much out of shape. We're young (in our 20's) and I've...

  • Calories burned.

I wanted to know if there is a simple way to calculate calories burned for a TRX workout. For example I am on the military 12 week program and would like to know an estimate for the calories I have burned for work out #1 & #2. I know that time and intensity vary from week to week but would like to...

  • Starting Military Fitness Program tomorrow, a couple questions....

First a little about me, I'm active Army but sadly pretty out of shape right now. I was in great shape 6 months ago and had finally reached about 12% bodyfat with decent strength. But then got very busy with school (the Army is sending me to school to get my masters degree) and my fitness went all...

  • Re: area of use vs anchor point ...

Hi Fraser - First, thanks again for your help. I did see the 6'x8' figure in the set up instructions when my TRX arrived, but with your help, I had the whole shipping time to plan out the layout while my TRX was getting shipped. (I tend to 'ovethink' things LOL) We have now got it mounted...

  • Greetings, all...

... I guess this is where an introductory post should go, anyway. I'm a 42 year old male, probably 40 or so lbs overweight (5'10" and 210 lbs) with high cholesterol. I'm looking to get back into shape in a safe, gradual manner, as I've been fairly sedentary for the last dozen years...
